About Me

Born and raised in New York City, I've been immersed in the world of art from a young age. From mastering the trumpet and piano to participating in numerous school productions, my journey led me to discover my true passion: modern dance.

At 16, I had a transformative experience with photography during a trip to Australia, borrowing my brother's DSLR. It sparked a love for capturing moments and storytelling through the lens. Combining this newfound passion with my background in the performing arts became my mission.

Graduating high school, I offered to photograph a school production, and that marked the beginning of a perfect blend. With a deep understanding of music, dance, and the performing arts, I approach photography with a unique perspective.

My focus is on capturing those unforgettable moments that come alive on stage. Years of studying dancers' movements and actors' emotions have honed my ability to seize the perfect shot.

Whether it's documenting a live event or a private portrait session, I'm here to bring creativity to your vision. I'm always open to new opportunities, so feel free to get in touch and let's create something special together!

Testimonials

Frank Sinatra School of the arts

“For the last 10 years, Abe Vazquez has provided Frank Sinatra School of the Arts with incredible photos of our performances. We love them so much, that we print and hang them in all the hallways of our school. I can't rave enough about Abe's work.”
